Important news regarding visa to Denmark

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to apply for a visa to Denmark:
- You start the application by filling out the form on https://applyvisa.um.dk/, followed by paying the visa fee. Afterwards, you print both your receipt for payment and your "cover letter / application". PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FEE HAS TO BE PAID WITH AN INTERNATIONAL CREDIT CARD
- Now you need to look at the specific Visa checklists. Find the checklist that applies to your profile and prepare the necessary documentation required, which you will later submit to our partner VFS Global. The checklists can be found on VFS website when you have chosen the right Visa Type you are going to apply for: Visa Information (vfsglobal.com)
- Then you make an appointment with VFS Global in Teheran, which is the day you will hand in your documents from the checklist, receipt for payment, and cover letter / application. This can be done via their website: Welcome to VFS Global | vfsglobal
PLEASE NOTE THAT AN IRANIAN MOBILE NUMBER IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE OTP AND THAT A DEPOSIT FEE FOR THE APPOINTMENT HAS TO BE PAID WITH AN IRANIAN BANK CARD - On the day of your appointment, you will go to VFS Global to hand in all the required documents from the checklist along with your "cover letter / application" and the receipt for your visa fee payment.
*If you have been invited by a host in Denmark, you also need to bring the invitation-ID that the host have received together with your other documents*. Read more about invitations and print the invitation form here: New to Denmark (nyidanmark.dk) - Once all the documents are handed in to VFS Global the application will be handed over to the Danish Embassy, which is where the visa process will begin. Once a decision has been made, you will be contacted by VFS Global to get your passport returned.
